More FAQ's of SWISSGriP®

What is SWISSGriP® Anti-Slip Coating?

SWISSGriP® is a premium, transparent two-component anti-slip treatment designed to make wet and slippery surfaces safe. It enhances traction without damaging or altering the original surface. The product is best for both residential and commercial use.

What surfaces can I apply SWISSGriP® to?

SWISSGriP® can be applied to surfaces like ceramic tiles, natural stone, fibreglass, glass, laminate, and glass-reinforced plastic. For unique or uneven surfaces, we advise contacting our team for guidance.

How long does the coating last?

Durability depends on foot traffic and maintenance. In commercial settings, treatments can last up to 10 years. With regular care, residential applications enjoy long-term safety and performance.

Can I remove SWISSGriP® later?

Yes, we offer a specially formulated remover. It helps to safely lift the coating without harming the underlying surface.

Will it change how the surface looks or feels?

SWISSGriP® is a clear solution and does not alter the colour or texture of the surface. It only modifies its slip resistance properties.

Is SWISSGriP® an acid-based treatment?

No, it is a non-etching, surface-safe coating. Unlike acid-based treatments, it does not chemically react with the surface.

How long does the application take?

Coating a bathtub or shower takes about 30+ minutes after surface preparation Larger areas may vary depending on size and complexity.

Is the coating weather-resistant?

Absolutely. SWISSGriP® is frost-proof, UV-resistant, and designed for indoor and outdoor use without discolouration or degradation.

Will the coating be yellow or fade in the sun?

No. Unlike some epoxy coatings, SWISSGriP® is UV-stable and will not yellow over time.

Is it safe for kids and pets?

Yes. Once fully applied (after 6 hours), the treatment is safe for all, including children and pets.

Can it cause skin irritation?

The coating is skin-friendly. However, prolonged friction—like kids sliding back and forth—might cause mild irritation, so caution is advised.

Why is SWISSGriP® more expensive than other available solutions in the market?

SWISSGriP® prioritizes safety, durability, and eco-friendliness. Cheaper alternatives may compromise performance or contain harmful substances.

Why does SWISSGriP® require 8 hours to dry, while some others need only 5?

Our two-component formula ensures superior performance and longevity. Faster-drying, one-component products often sacrifice durability and effectiveness.

Can SWISSGriP® be used in outdoor settings like pool decks or ramps?

Yes. The product is ideal for outdoor use like around pools, walkways, and wheelchair-accessible ramps.
