Hospital: Slip protection for bath and tiles.

Mediclinic City Hospital, located in Dubai Healthcare City, was the first multidisciplinary hospital in the region and proudly holds the title of Dubai’s first baby-friendly private hospital under the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) by WHO and UNICEF. With 280 beds and specialised departments including obstetrics, gynaecology, and neonatal care, patient safety and hygiene are top priorities.

To enhance safety in its obstetrics ward, the hospital commissioned GriP to apply a transparent anti-slip coating to critical wet areas. The birthing bathtub, shower, and surrounding ceramic tiles were treated using the SWISSGriP® Bathroom system. This ensures the highest slip-resistance rating—class C—without altering the surface aesthetics.

The eco-friendly GriP coating is bonded directly to surfaces, preventing dirt build-up and ensuring long-term durability. Unlike anti-slip mats or strips, it stays firmly in place and is easy to clean, making it an ideal solution for medical environments.
